Outdoor activities

The best way to spend the day without spending a dime must be exploring Hong Kong’s nature. Go for a hike, or when it’s too hot, enjoy one of our city’s beautiful beaches. Find some of the best hikes here.

Museums & Exhibitions

Are you an art lover? Or would you like to learn more about Hong Kong’s history? Public museums in Hong Kong are free on Wednesdays. On other days the admission fee is only around HK$20. Besides the public museums, various independent museums and galleries also host cheap or free exhbitions. Here you can find a list with some of Hong Kong’s current exhibitions

Comedy Show

If it’s your first Tinder date and you’re a little nervous, afraid of running out of things to talk about, then the comedy show at Brew House might be perfect. Every Wednesday night the pub in LKF hosts an open mic comedy night that will surely keep you entertained. Entrance is free, you’ll only need to buy a drink!

Picnic in the park

Buy some drinks & sandwiches at the supermarket and take the MTR to your nearest park. Our favorite spots are Tamar Park in Admiralty, Sun Yat Sen Park in Sai Ying Pun or Morse Park and Kwun Tong Promenade on the Kowloon side.

If you’re on a less tight budget and feel like a more luxurious picnic, try out Urban Park. This restaurant has a huge artificial grass field (no bugs!) and will give you your own picnic basket, including a bottle of sparkling wine.

Challenge your date

Challenge your date in a game of pool or bowling at SCAA in Causeway Bay. The sports center is much cheaper than other bowling lanes. You first need to get a yearly membership of HK$120, but after that you can play a game of bowling starting from HK$28 or pool starting from HK$30 year round. Perfect if you’re tired of the usual dinner dates.

Dessert date

Instead of a full dinner, why not go for some dessert? The options are endless. Try a local Hong Kong style dessert or treat yourselves to indulgent American style ice cream at Emack & Bolio’s. It’s a nice variation to the standard first coffee date!
